Best School for Photojournalism?
It doesn't ahve to be photojournalism, but just more that approach to photography rather than artistic. I have been researching schools for days now and cannot come up with an actually answer for the best schools.... I have heard that the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in Dayton, Ohio is very good. But I am not sure.. Anyone have actual stats? Or even just actual experience? PLEASE HELP.
I'm looking for schools more in the Midwest.
Arizona State University has a really great photography program and Northern Arizona University has a good photo program for more commercial photography rather than artistic. Within the midwest, Indiana State is one of the tops in the nation along with ASU. Also at ASU, their journalism program is also one of the top in the nation so if you wanted you can major in photojournalism there and get really great learning from each program. And Columbia College in Illinois is really good too. I think also in the midwest that Oakland University in Michigan has at least a decent photo program.
Those are some colleges though if you were looking for non specialty schools.. but if you are looking for a specific art school I'd look into the Illinois Institue of Art
