I'm interested in Photography?
But I have no idea where to begin! I'm so new to it, but I know I've always loved photography.
Do you know of any books, DVDs, anything, that I could use to help my learn more about photography?
Any tips, advice, suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!
Probably one of the best books for covering basic to the more advanced side of photography is Langford's Basic Photography. They're in their 8th edition now. Very good book! What kind of photography are you most interested in. I should be able to advise you on that as well! Also pick up a copy of a magazine that has the most examples of the kind of photography you want to concentrate on. Study the photographs and advertisements inside, Pay particular attention to the composition of the photos... and the use of leading lines and subject placement (rule of thirds). Some photographers draw attention to their subject by the use of colors within the scene... So much to learn... but so much FUN!
