basic photography definitions
best camera in 150-250 range?

For: regular use inside home and mainly taking pics on tours outside. no need for professional
photography although close to it is desirable.
but I dont want to get a "basic" camera

my definition of good camera:
1.Atleast 4MP (I do occasional printout of normal photosize only. no big prints)
2.The most important part is it shud take good pics in limited lighting/during nights outside
most camera i have seen dont do a good job here(I mean the cheap ones in my budget range)
3.Zoom of >=4X. (if other features(mainly 2) are good, can live with 3x)
4.Cannon/kodak/sony make :)
5.Not blur too much while shooting moving objects
6.average size.

Pls suggest some models. Thanks in advance.

Canon SD400.

5MP, fairly powerful flash for its size. Also, canon sensors are faster than their rating, so a ISO 400 setting shoots more like 600, so they are good with moving subjects. You will never get > 4X zoom in this price range, unfortunately. The camera can be had for under $250 if you keep track of the deal websites like bensbargains or gotapex.

The SD400 is a good deal because it's been replaced by the 450, which is the same camera with a slightly larger screen. As a result the SD400 is discounted heavily.
