Need help for infant photography props?

I am photographing a one month old who weighs 9 pounds and is 20in. Long
I see all the pictures with baby's inside of things like baskets and buckets and they already looked cramped. Since this baby is not a NEW few days old newborn what type of props can I use to photograph the baby in and what size or length does the props need to be?
I do not want to squish the baby or force into position ( not that i would, Just saying ) Choice of better words would be "I do not want the props to be too small for the baby and be left with nothing to use."

i would suggest photographing more than just the baby as a whole.
take pictures of its features, like its small hands and feet.
compare the baby to its parents.
try black and whites..they are always special with baby photos
capture a sweet look from the mom to the baby.
use simple crops and make th baby the focal point.
use new angles and get creative.
use the babies favorite toys or blanket and make it more personal.
make sure hes comfortable too!
