Photography Contest helpppp?
I am an amateur photographer, but alot of people like my work.
I wanted to hold a contest on my website where the winner would receive a free 2 hour photoshoot. What type of contest should I hold? I want it to be creative...
Self portraits. At least you know the photographer wants to have their picture taken.
Also, you can kind of be selective about who you're photographing as well. It sounds kinda crappy, but really, do you want to spend 2 hrs shooting a middle aged overweight plumber? I am not a plumber, so I know it wouldn't be me.
You want to pick someone you can look at for 2 hrs, someone you would be able to pose in different scenarios and shoot from different angles. Someone who would be good for you promotionally and artistically. Ultimately you're doing it for you, not them. They are the benefactor of pictures, but it should be for you first.
